Ready to start 2025 with the right coverage? Contact the Steve Crisp State Farm team today, and let's ensure you're protected for everything ahead! I am a Western Kentucky native - born and raised in Hopkinsville - with ties to Kentucky and Tennessee that go back several generations. My father, Joe Crisp, sold insurance in Hopkinsville and surrounding communities for over thirty years, and I have been in the insurance industry for thirty eight years, with many more still ahead of me.
I married my beautiful wife, Kerri, in 1987 – the same year I began selling insurance. Kerri and I have been blessed with two wonderful children, Stephen and Karson. Giving back to the community and helping others have always been important core values to my wife and I, and we have tried to instill these same values in our children. My son, Stephen, is not only a third-generation insurance professional, he also helps manage my Hopkinsville and Greenville State Farm offices. My daughter, Karson, chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps, as an elementary school teacher in Hopkinsville. My daughter-in-law, Jessie, teaches elementary school in Clarksville, TN. So far, our children have blessed Kerri and I with four grandchildren, or as I like to call them - four future insurance agents and school teachers! During my leisure time, I enjoy playing with my four grandchildren and five rescue dogs.
Approximately eleven years ago, I started my career with State Farm at the Lafayette Road office in Hopkinsville. On August 1st, 2022, I took over the Greenville office of retiring State Farm agent Denny Slinker and immediately filled it with local Greenville and Muhlenberg County team members. I feel that having offices in both Hopkinsville and Greenville that primarily employs team members from those areas allows my team to better serve all of our customers, wherever they may reside.
Keeping local jobs filled with good local people will always be one of my primary goals. I hand select each of my team members from the local pool of prospective employees based on their character and values, as well as their insurance knowledge and customer service skills. Every member of my team goes above and beyond to treat each customer like part of our extended family. Whether you stop by either of my offices with a question or are in need of service, you will be greeted with a friendly hello and a smile from a local face.
At Steve Crisp State Farm, we offer Auto, Homeowners, Condo, Renters, Business, Personal Articles, Life, and Health Insurance. The availability of Financial Services broadens our ability to help our customers beyond insurance.
As a past president of our local Agri-Business Association and avid supporter and advocate of Max’s Hope Animal Rescue, I have always loved animals. Being an important part of all of our lives, I feel our pets should have healthcare, just like any other member of our family. As an animal lover, I am proud to now offer Pet Insurance through an alliance with Trupanion.
While we consider ourselves the hometown team, we also excel in welcoming newcomers to our area. So, if you are in the military and transferring here, or moving to the area to start a new career at one of the local factories, distilleries, or other local industries, stop by and see us for a free insurance quote or policy review.
I am licensed in Kentucky and Tennessee, so regardless of where you live in this area we can take care of your insurance needs. My team and I service Fort Campbell /Oak Grove, Kentucky, Clarksville, Tennessee, Hopkinsville, Greenville/Muhlenberg County and all surrounding communities in Kentucky. I hold the professional designations of FLMI and LUTCF. I am also a supporter and advocate of the Salvation Army and a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce.
